Springs
(46 products)A few grams of steel decide how heavy your trigger is, how fast the slide returns and whether the next round feeds. Springs are the cheapest way to change how a pistol feels, and the easiest to undo. Everything here comes from the Estonian maker Eemann Tech and, for now, fits CZ guns.
What each spring changes
Trigger, trigger bar and sear springs set the weight of the pull. Competition versions are marked with their power, for example -10 % or -15 %, and take weight off the trigger. There is also an extreme trigger spring at +10 % for a firmer reset. Main springs drive the hammer; a competition main spring lightens the hammer strike and the double action pull. Recoil springs control slide speed and felt recoil. Firing pin, extractor and ejector springs are replacements at factory power, and some firing pin springs come lighter. Magazine springs keep feed tension even through the whole magazine, with versions for 16, 18 and 19 round CZ 75 family magazines.
Lighter, but still reliable
A lighter trigger or trigger bar spring only changes the pull. A lighter main spring also hits the primer with less force, so before a match fire enough rounds of your own ammunition to be sure every primer ignites. With recoil springs, match the weight to your load instead of going as light as possible.
A kit or one spring at a time
For the CZ 75 family and for the Scorpion Evo there are kits that bundle the springs most often changed together. Everything else is sold singly, so you can change one spring, shoot, and feel what it did before you touch the next.
Find your gun
A spring is made for one mechanism. The range covers the CZ 75 family and Shadow line, the TS 2 and 75 Tactical Sports, the P-10C, P-10F and P-10S, the Kadet and the Scorpion Evo. See Springs for CZ. Every spring is a direct replacement for the factory part; changing hammer and trigger springs means taking the trigger group apart, so use the factory manual or a gunsmith if you have not done it before. For the P-10F, a steel Guide rods part pairs with the Eemann Tech recoil springs.
Frequently asked questions
What does -15 % power mean?
The spring is about 15 percent weaker than the factory spring, so it takes some weight off the pull.
Do I need all the competition springs at once?
No. Many shooters start with the trigger and trigger bar springs and change the rest only if they want more.
Will a lighter main spring cause misfires?
It can with hard primers. Test your ammunition before you rely on it in a match.
